I am an antinatalist. I am against procreation. There are many reasons to procreate, which is to say there are many reasons to have a child. However, none of those reasons is for the good of the child. It cannot be, for the child does not exist yet. You cannot have a child for the child’s sake. It follows that having a child is a purely egocentric decision.
